Hello Neighbors!

Thank you everyone who has adopted an Angel! It is exciting to see them fly off the tree so fast. We still have Angels available at the Chamber and Uncle Bob’s Bowling in Herington, First National Bank of Hope, Hope location, and the City Hall in White City. Gifts and donations need to be dropped off at their respective locations by December 17th so that they can be distributed December 22nd and 23rd. We are accepting cash donations for any Angels that don’t get adopted or to use for supplemental gifts.

Shop Small Scrabble Boards are available for pick-up at the Chamber Office from now until December 17th. There is a picture of the prizes on the Chamber Facebook page. We have made an adjustment to the rules: Any tiles you collect and get on the board will get you into the drawing (must have one tile from a participating business as well as the one from the Chamber). Those with the most tiles will have their names entered into the drawing first and going down from there in order of most completed boards. Let’s all do our part and help our local businesses thrive this holiday season and all year long.

We are working hard to keep our member businesses promoted and running as we navigate this trying time. Please, let me know what I can do to help! As a retail business owner, some things to think about, if you haven’t already, is offering gift cards, personal shopping, curbside pick-up/delivery, and increasing your online presence. If you will be shipping items pay attention to the USPS, UPS, and Fed-Ex cut off dates for sending mail and packages. Because of quarantine and isolations there are a lot of mail sorters and drivers out of commission and some shipping times are not guaranteed. Shop early and shop local!

We are closely monitoring the COVID-19 updates and ask that we use phone or email communication as much as possible, and, when that is not possible, practice safe social distancing measures. Masks are required in the building.

I can be reached at 785-258-2115 or at [email protected]

Have a great week, Tri-County!
